Grand Knight's Report

Easter has arrived and he is risen he has truly risen. I hope this Lent and Easter season has been a wonderful experience for you and your family. Please take advantage of all the activities going on at your club. I am sure you can find some things to do to add some fun in your life here at the K.

We held a third degree exemplification here at our council this past month. We had 23 men advance in to full Knighthood. 6 of which are from our council. This is an outstanding number and adds to the ranks of Catholic gentlemen who will help to carry on our work of service and charity to all who are in need.

As you know we are still looking for Catholic gentlemen to join our council to help us grow and keep our council alive and vibrant. You will be seeing in the coming weeks requests to assist us in our parish roundtable program. This is a opportunity to become involved in YOUR parish helping your pastor to keep the church in tip top shape and assist him in needs of the church. We did a clean-up of the cemetery at St Barbara's please see the photo and article written by Ken Girt our parish roundtable chairman.

As spring arrives let us not forget that all the beauty we encounter is God's blessing to us.

Please make sure your dues are paid if you have any questions contact myself or Tim Paul as soon as possible. Also, if you haven't sold or purchased the cash bonanza tickets. The sooner you get them in to us the more money the council gets for our charity programs. I ask you please DO NOT SEND CASH if you wish to pay in cash please drop it off at the bar and they will get it to us.

I would like to leave you with a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. “What lies behind us and what lies ahead of are tiny matters compared to what lies within us”. As always please pray the Rosary our lady will always ask her son our saviour to bless us for our devotion to her.

KYRIE ELEISON on our children our country and the world PEACE.
